I’m Mai. I live near my parents’ house with my husband Ryota and our two daughters, one in elementary school and the other in junior high school. My father died of illness six years ago, and now my mother lives alone in my parents’ house. My younger brother Takashi and his family live a little further away, so they rarely come to our house, but I would drop by every now and then. One day, my mother called me, which was unusual, saying she wanted to talk to me about something.
