I’m Ryoya. During our New Year visit, my wife Harumi got into a fight with my sister for not disciplining her daughter. Harumi stormed out and went home with the kids. I’ve always had doubts about my sister’s parenting, but I stayed out of it to avoid conflict.

I promised Harumi she’d never have to deal with my family again, and we’re living together as before. But I know I lost her trust by ignoring the problem for so long. Now, I’m determined to face her and our kids sincerely.
As for my sister—she still blames everyone else when the school calls: other kids, the teachers, the system. In our small town, word spreads fast, and her behavior is starting to catch up with her—and our parents too.
Maybe it’s too late for my sister to change. But I truly hope Rikka can still grow, learn, and choose a better path.
