I guess somewhere in my heart I thought, “If it comes down to it, I can just rely on my parents.” My mother always said that even parents and children need to be independent. But I was relying on her all the time.
And Jun’s attitude didn’t change even after we left our parents’ home. When I saw that, I suddenly felt like I couldn’t rely on my mother anymore. All of a sudden, tears welled up inside me and I couldn’t stop. I had been making my mother do what Jun should have done, without facing Jun in front of me.
But now I understand. The person I need to face the most is my husband, Jun.
Jun has finally realized the magnitude of the situation, and is working hard to improve it, little by little. From now on, Jun and I will work together to make sure that one day we can look back on the good things that we were kicked out of our parents’ home.
