It seems that it’s not that he doesn’t like drawing, but that he now likes drawing on things other than paper. When I told the teacher at the nursery school what had happened, I was told that my son likes drawing on the whiteboard at the nursery school. His preferred creative endeavors are not drawings made with crayon and paper, but quick drawings in the sand or on a whiteboard, or three-dimensional objects made with blocks or crafts.
Even children who appear to be “bad at drawing” in their parents’ eyes may discover a new strength in themselves, depending on the place, tools and craft they use to draw.
