I’m Anna, and I live with my husband, Takuya, and our preschooler, Asahi. Being naturally shy, I was drawn to Takuya’s bright, social personality, which is why I married him. He treats us so well, and we’ve been living a happy life together. But recently, Takuya’s job required us to relocate. I honestly believe the only reason Asahi and I settled in so easily was thanks to Meiko. She’s thoughtful and kind, but never overbearing. She knows exactly how to keep a respectful distance while still being supportive, which is why everyone at the preschool trusts and loves her. Naoto is just as sweet; he’s always looking out for Asahi and inviting him to play, and Asahi absolutely adores him. Before we knew it, we’d become the kind of friends who could just pop over to each other’s houses anytime.
