I’m Kaori (46). My husband Yuichi (46) recently told me, “I want to get back into ballroom dancing.” Both of his parents are ballroom dance instructors, and they asked him to eventually take over their studio. For now, he’s just starting out as a hobby, aiming to compete. Before long, though, he began spending every weekend staying overnight at the studio. I don’t know much about ballroom dancing, but is it really necessary to sleep over like that?

Seeing my suspicion, my husband tried to explain why he has no choice but to stay over. By the time he finishes work and gets to the studio, it’s already 10 PM, and practice lasts two to three hours. After that, he misses the last train…
I know he’s taking his practice seriously. But couldn’t he just wrap up before the last train, or take a cab home?
To make matters worse, I found out he’s practicing with Suzuka—his ex-girlfriend and former dance partner. I couldn’t help but feel uneasy.
