As I thought about it, I became more angry at my husband than at my mother-in-law’s behavior. My husband left me to deal with my mother-in-law, but he didn’t do anything himself. I felt more and more that “your parents are bothering me!” However, when I remembered the conversations we had when we first got married, I couldn’t imagine that my mother-in-law would easily listen to what I had to say. It seemed that the only thing I could do was for my husband to do something about it, and I hoped that he would do so. I decided to create a situation where my husband, who doesn’t see it as a problem, would have no choice but to get involved.
